PERSONAL INSURANCE / AUTO

For the miles
you drive every day.

Your vehicles, your drivers and your daily routine all shape the conversation. Find out what the different parts of an auto policy are there to do.

Discuss My Auto

Practical guidance from Rick Lewelling.

A CLOSER LOOK AT YOUR AUTO

Good coverage
starts with
good questions.

  1. 01Who drives your vehicles?
  2. 02How are they used each day?
  3. 03Which costs could you cover yourself?

Understand the pieces

Look beyond
the monthly price.

These are general coverage categories to discuss. Your actual coverage depends on the policy, limits, deductibles and exclusions.

01

Liability

Helps pay for injuries or property damage you cause to others in a covered accident, up to your policy limits.

02

Collision

Helps pay for damage to your vehicle from a collision, subject to the deductible and policy terms.

03

Comprehensive

Addresses covered non-collision losses, such as theft, hail or fire. A deductible generally applies.

04

Other options

Ask about uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, medical-related coverage, rental reimbursement and roadside assistance where available.

Make the conversation count

Every driver.
Every detail.

Have your current policy available if you have one. Rick can talk through the details and questions to consider for your next quote.

  • All household drivers and vehicle uses
  • Liability limits and available options
  • Deductibles and the value of your vehicles
  • Business use, delivery work or vehicle modifications

Think about your household

Auto is one part
of the picture.

Discuss home, auto and personal umbrella together. Ask about available bundling opportunities and how the policies fit your needs. Eligibility and savings vary.

Useful questions

A little more clarity.

What is the difference between collision and comprehensive?

Collision generally addresses damage from a collision. Comprehensive generally addresses covered non-collision events such as theft, fire or hail. Deductibles and exclusions apply.

Does personal auto insurance cover my race car?

Do not assume a personal auto policy covers a race car or racing use. Discuss the vehicle’s actual use with Rick and review the separate off-track race car information.

Can I bundle auto and home?

Ask Rick about available home and auto options. Placing policies with one carrier may offer a discount where eligible, but compare the coverage and total price—not just the discount.

A quote request does not bind coverage. Coverage is subject to policy terms, conditions, exclusions and eligibility.
