MOTORSPORTS / RACE CAR INSURANCE

The work doesn’t
stop at the track.
Neither do the questions.

Your race car spends time in the shop, in storage and on the road to the next event. Talk with Rick about insurance for those off-track exposures.

Discuss My Race Car
OFF-TRACK COVERAGE ONLYOn-track racing is not covered. Transport, storage and other eligible exposures depend on the policy.

RACER-TO-RACER KNOWLEDGE. PRACTICAL CONVERSATIONS.

The whole setup

Start with the car.
Look at what goes with it.

Bring the details of your racing program. Rick can help identify the questions to ask about available insurance.

The race car

Discuss where it is stored, how it travels and its value. Ask how a policy treats eligible off-track damage or theft.

USE · STORAGE · VALUE

The trailer

Review the trailer separately, including its value, towing arrangements and use. Do not assume the car’s policy covers the trailer.

Tools & equipment

Make an inventory of tools, spare parts and equipment. Ask which items need to be listed and what limits or exclusions apply.

Before you request a quote

Bring the details.
Leave the guesswork.

Eligibility and coverage vary by carrier, vehicle, use and location. A conversation helps establish what information a quote will need.

Ask a Coverage Question
  • Race car year, make, model and estimated value
  • Where the car is stored and how it is transported
  • Trailer and equipment descriptions and values
  • Racing activities and any current insurance
  • Questions about deductibles, exclusions and valuation

Useful questions

Know the boundaries.

Does this include on-track racing?

No. The motorsports coverage discussed here is for off-track exposures. Do not assume coverage applies while racing, testing or driving on a track.

Is the car covered while being transported?

Transport may be an eligible exposure, subject to the specific policy. Discuss who transports the car, the trailer used and any restrictions before relying on coverage.

Are my tools automatically included?

Do not assume every tool or piece of equipment is covered. Ask about item schedules, limits, deductibles and exclusions for your setup.

Can I discuss my daily driver too?

Yes. Rick also offers personal auto insurance. Race cars and everyday vehicles should be reviewed according to their different uses.

A quote request does not bind coverage. Coverage is subject to policy terms, conditions, exclusions and eligibility.
